Who Is Ron Paul?

Ron Paul is America’s leading voice for liberty, prosperity and peace. As a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives and three-time presidential candidate, Ron Paul tirelessly works for limited, constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. Ron Paul never voted for legislation unless the proposed measure was expressly authorized by the Constitution.

Ron Paul was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Gettysburg College and the Duke University School of Medicine, before proudly serving as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force during the 1960s. He and his wife Carol moved to Texas in 1968, where he began his medical practice in Brazoria County. As a specialist in obstetrics/gynecology, Dr. Paul has delivered more than 4,000 babies. He and Carol, who reside in Lake Jackson, Texas, are the proud parents of five children and have 17 grandchildren.

While serving in Congress during the late 1970s and early 1980s, Dr. Paul’s limited-government ideals were not popular in Washington. In 1976, he was one of only four Republican congressmen to endorse Ronald Reagan for president. During that time, Congressman Paul served on the House Banking committee, where he was a strong advocate for sound monetary policy and an outspoken critic of the Federal Reserve’s inflationary measures. He was an unwavering advocate of pro-life and pro-family values. Dr. Paul consistently voted to lower or abolish federal taxes, spending and regulation, and used his House seat to actively promote the return of government to its proper constitutional levels. In 1984, he returned to his medical practice.

Ron Paul went back to Congress in 1997 to represent the 14th congressional district of Texas. He served on the House Committee on Financial Services and the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, and eventually became Chairman of the Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology. After retiring from Congress in early 2013, Ron Paul continued to advocate a dramatic reduction in the size of the federal government and a return to constitutional principles.

I have slowly watched my life, and that of my family’s spiral into poverty! Ron Paul I feel is the best and probably our last chance to take America back. I can only hope more good hard working Americans wake up and see the truth.

Mr. Ron Paul, I am so glad that you are running for president again. I’ve never voted before in my entire life, but you are the first candidate I’m voting for.

The federal pensions, taxpayer obligation, for FY 2011 is $780,800,000,000 and FY 2012 is $793,200,000,000. Nearly a TRILLION dollars every year.

Wake up and smell the roses….vote Ron Paul for President.

      This is what’s so preposterous.

You’re merely presuming that Ron Paul has some way to solve this issue; and yet you can’t put your finger on a comprehensive (accountable) explanation how.

The *stupidity* of pretending to “end the Fed” in “further” “competing banks” is, you preserve the very process which has engendered terminal failure. You aren’t about solution then: You *think* you’re about solution, advocating the very process which makes it mathematically impossible even to maintain a circulation without perpetually re-borrowing principal and interest as an ever greater and thus inevitably terminal sum of debt.

The reason you can’t afford to address the cited problem is that you are actually supporting *sustaining* the very obfuscation of the currency which is the fundamental cause of all our monetary issues.

Do you think the “Austrian economists” have solved the ramifications of interest?

Well you are wrong then! Go visit mises.org and look up a 1975 presentation given by Frederich Hayek. This preposterous ditty not only advocates privatization of the monetization process *falsely claiming* that the present problems are a consequence of government (when the Federal Reserve is the very privatization this fool is advocating!)… it *boasts* of why the Austrian “economists” advocate banking — that “it can be *an extremely profitable* ‘business.'”

You’re supporting the preposterous notion of putting Ron Paul’s name up, where you *might* some day chisel out the words, “Federal Reserve Bank.”

NO ONE advocates solution, who supports the unwarranted and unassented obfuscation of the currency which has caused the very problems Ron Paul himself even complains about!

I’m sorry, but even major investors and economists say Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate in Washington who MAKES ANY SENSE and knows what he’s talking about (understands the fundamentals of finance).

The massive debt the U.S. has will simply not go away if something is not done fast. Paul is the only one who has suggestions that will not only maintain the culture and values of America, but at the same time cut massive spending and get finances back on track and the house in order.

As a citizen of the United States of America, a constitutional Republic governed by the rule of law, I am writing to ask for your help to stop the illegal immigration and enforce the current immigration laws. Failure do so is selective enforcement of the laws…which is against your oath of office and morally wrong.

There are no beneficiaries of continuing the current stance on non-enforcement of our immigration laws.

Sec. 103. [8 U.S.C. 1103] (a) (1) The Attorney General shall be charged with the administration and enforcement of this Act and all other laws relating to the immigration and naturalization of aliens, except insofar as this Act or such laws relate to the powers, functions, and duties conferred upon the President, the Secretary of State, the officers of the Department of State, or diplomatic or consular officers: Provided, however, That determination and ruling by the Attorney General with respect to all questions of law shall be controlling .

    (2) He shall have control, direction, and supervision of all employees and of all the files and records of the Service.

    (3) He shall establish such regulations; prescribe such forms of bond, reports, entries, and other papers; issue such instructions; and perform such other acts as he deems necessary for carrying out his authority under the provisions of this Act.

Shall is mandatory and does not allow for an option not to perform. Unless, and until the laws are changed or amended in accordance with the procedures outlined in the constitution, the current laws MUST/SHALL be enforced, whether you agree with them or not.

RON – This country needs a person like YOU! Please run for President 2012.
    You’ve my vote!

  • Levi Silveira

DR Paul please run for president in 2012. Your wisdom and unwavering values is what our country needs in this age. An age of government run amuck and corporations owning most of the politicians. Restore our countries greatness. Bring back the power to the people. Remind everyone what the constitution is all about. Get these crooks out of Washington.

  • colleen

You have mine and my husbands support Dr. Paul! Please run 2012!

  • Dax P. LeBaron

Unbelievable. I really like Ron Paul but he got stomped like a narc at a biker rally. He will not ever get to run for president and if her does he will get stomped again.

He clearly articulates the position that Jefferson would have liked. But our country will not be fixed in this life time.

Congress is as corrupt as a Tijuana police officer. Don’t believe me. Look at the budget garbage from a week ago.

I think Libertarians and Independents are the two most cowardly people on earth. One stands for everything being ok with them. And the other cowers behind the “I look at all sides” before I make a decision. This is why we currently suck as a nation. Pick a team mush heads.

Trump would be as bad as that dumb bell Schwarzenegger was for California. They lie to get in then they screw everything up because they are utter dolts. And remember, Trump did not make his own money his daddy did. He just hasn’t screwed it up too bad. And he got two hot wives out of the deal.

Forget Palin. I used to love her but the more I hear her she sounds like she is constantly whining that the trash needs to be taken out. I don’t think she is ignorant but listening to her is like listening to Glenn Beck go on and on and on about the same thing. We get it Sarah! Obama is the worst president since Jimmy Carter.

Being a president is more than just having good ideas. Ron Paul inspires some people but only on the “hate” government level. He is not a motivator that shows there are going to be better times ahead of us. The last president that made that happen was Ronald Reagan. If Ron Paul wants to win he must stop worrying about the votes from all of you since he has them no matter what. He needs to stop talking like Jesse Ventura and become a motivator of the value of this countries future or he will fade away like Ross Perot did.

Mr. Paul, through his unwavering pursuit of sound money, fiscal responsibility, morality, the end of nation building, dismantling of the Federal Reserve system, and pure consistency has given me an inkling that the USA has a chance of returning to what it should be. I have never voted in a national election because it’s always been the same old cookie cutter this and that and I always knew nothing would change. Mr. Paul has given me hope. Not only will I be voting in our next election but I am encouraging as many others as will listen to vote for him, should he run, and will volunteer to go door to door to try to convince others to do the same. His is a voice of reason in a world gone mad.

  • Cisco

    Please run again Mr.Paul

I don’t want to see people like Donald Trump running for president.

  • Nicholas Johnson

You will have the support of Blackshear, GA should you decide to run. I’ll be sure of it.

  • David Nosal

    Congressman Paul,
Thank you for your continued service as a statesman. And thank you for your position against the death penalty to make you the only COMPLETELY pro-life presidential possibility.
For that primarily, but for a plethora of other issues on which you are SPOT ON, guaranteed, 100%, if you run for President, you WILL have my vote in Virginia.

  • Andy Zahoran

    RON PAUL………………………………For 2012………..It’s a Must..Otherwise
    RON PAUL…………………America is Finished.

  • Michael Markiewicz

You sir, are the definition of Patriot. In a world plagued by corruption and cynicism, your integrity and beliefs are what crown you America’s best chance at returning to a respectable nation. You’ve had my vote and will have my vote, for whenever you stand up to carry the torch of freedom. May God and destiny bless you. RON PAUL 2012!!!!!

  • Dave

Folks, let’s not forget that Ron Paul will likely be kept out of the Presidential Debates because the commission that runs the debates is now run by a panel consisting of Republicans and Democrats (it was formerly run by the League of Women Voters), who work together (!) to keep third parties out of the debates. They have a vested interest in doing so. They do not want Americans to have a third choice of candidate who will serve Americans’ needs before those of moneyed interests.
